Nothing is as important as knowing one's history and heritage. Mthwakazi has been a nation subdued for over a century during which time our nation's history was actively being written and purposely distorted by the enemies of the State, the colonialists and their successors. Mthwakazi is a nation with some of the most fascinating and richest history of any nation. A history of a nation that had one of the most complex and intelligent governance systems. A nation founded as an Empire ruled by Emperors with kings of diverse ethnicities. A Empire founded on diversity and the power of united kingdoms.

When the colonialists and their successors wrote our history, which they still use to brainwash our people with, they chose to write only about ' the Ndebele kings, the Ndebele chiefs, the Ndebele armies, and how the Ndebele king supposedly ran away from Shaka in Zululand and how the other Ndebele king disappeared in thin air. They chose to shrink their perspective of Mthwakazi history to the convenient stories they could use to destroy, divide and rule Mthwakazi. It is upto Mthwakazi now, to find the lost pieces of our own history and heritage and to unlearn the false narratives and reeducate ourselves, especially the children who are the future of this great diverse nation.
